I'm Marcus Louie.  In my day job, I work at Tyler Technologies to empower a team of consultants. We work with public sector leaders to implement solutions that help them better leverage their own data. For most of my career, I have been in high growth start-up companies ranging from 10 to 150 people until Tyler acquired Socrata in 2018. In this latest chapter with Tyler Technologies, I’m excited to be a part of a growing 4,100 person company.

Outside of work, I volunteer at Code for DC, a Code for America brigade.  I'm working with an amazing group of volunteers to streamline the application process for Section 8 affordable housing in Washington, DC. Read more.

Other passions include constant tinkering and improvement on my home-built electric skateboard and analyzing data to help me grasp a situation better.

In a past life, I used to be a researcher, writing computational models to study social systems. You can read some of my papers here.

In DC?  Let's grab coffee.  Like to road cycle?  Let's go for a ride!
