I'm Marcus Louie. In my day job, I work at Tyler Technologies to empower a team of consultants. We work with public sector leaders to implement solutions that help them better leverage their own data. With a background in high-growth companies, I am comfortable with and thrive on bringing order to unstructured problems, recruiting and developing teams, and designing technical solutions and roadmaps to enable long-term customer success. Since the acquisition of Socrata by Tyler Technologies, I’m excited to be a part of a growing 4,100 person company.
Outside of work, I volunteer at Code for DC, a Code for America brigade. I'm working with an amazing group of volunteers to streamline the application process for Section 8 affordable housing in Washington, DC. Read more.
Other passions include constant tinkering and improvement on my home-built electric skateboard and analyzing data to help me grasp a situation better.
In a past life, I used to be a researcher, writing computational models to study social systems. You can read some of my papers here.
In DC? Let's grab coffee. Like to road cycle? Let's go for a ride!
